Stockport County will look to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Swindon Town when they take on Salford City on Matchday 39. The Hatters are eager to keep their automatic promotion hopes alive, but Saturday’s clash will be anything but a walk in the park for the home side. Defender Neill Byrne limped off with injury at the weekend, with Joe Lewiss likely to step up.
The Lions, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Doncaster and Stevenage. Salford have been scoring goals for fun of late, and given Stockport’s attacking potential, we believe that there is a big value in betting on both teams to score. Both Callum Hendry and Stephen Mallan are pushing for a start after the duo got their names on the scoresheet of the bench in the last league match.

Josh Morris is an English professional footballer who plays for Fleetwood Town in League One. Born on the 30th of September, 1991, the 28-year-old is a versatile midfielder capable of playing in multiple different positions. He has capped for England at the under-20 level, making his debut against France U20 on the 9th of February, 2011.
He has also featured for England in the FIFA Under 20 World Cup. The Preston local joined Blackburn's youth academy in 2004 and signed his first professional contract with the club in September 2010. A couple of months later, on the 27th of November 2010, Morris made his first-ever professional appearance in a 7-1 league defeat to Manchester United. His following time at Blackburn included loan spells at clubs Yeovil Town, Rotherham, Carlisle United and Fleetwood Town.
He then joined Bradford in 2015 on a permanent deal, thus finally ending his 12-year long involvement with parent club Blackburn. After a timid season with The Bantams, Morris joined Scunthorpe on a three-year contract and featured 125 times for the club, scoring 37 and assisting 30 goals in the process. At the end of the 18/19 season, he rejoined Fleetwood and is currently on a two-year contract with the club.

Founded during the Second World War (1940) as Salford Central, the League Two side play their home games at Moor Lane. The stadium, which was opened in 1978 and renovated in 2019, can hold up to 5,108 spectators. The Lions wear red jerseys and white shorts when playing in front of home fans, while white and black are the dominant colours of their away kit.
Salford City secured promotion to the League 2 at the end of the 2018/19 as they defeated Flyde 3-0 in the National League play-offs final. The match was played at Wembley Stadium, with Touray, Pergianni, and Dieseruvwe scoring for the Lions.
In the 1977/78 season Salford City won their first Manchester Premier Cup trophy, with the team repeating the success the following year. Bury are seen as the club’s main rivals, but their rivalry with the likes of Oldham and Rochdale is pretty big as well.
