Tranmere will be aiming to put an end to their three-game losing run in all competitions when they face Wrexham in Saturday’s matinee. The Super Whites have been struggling at the back of late, with the team conceding eight goals in total in the previous three matches and they face yet another uphill task against the promotion-chasing newcomers. Both Dennis and Jolley should be recalled to the starting XI after the duo came off the bench in the EFL Cup loss to Notts County.
The Red Dragons, on the other hand, aim to recover from the League Cup defeat to Bradford City. Wrexham have been impressive in front of goal this season and we predict that they are going to take advantage of Tranmere’s shaky defence. Tranmere were founded back in 1884 under the name of Belmont FC, with the football arms of cricket clubs Lyndhurst Wanderers and Belmont coming together.
