Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Sunday’s football game at Stade Raymond-Kopa pits together Angers and Brest, the two teams who are almost level on points in the Ligue 1 standings. Les Scoistes head into the match following back-to-back draws with Nantes and Auxerre, and, no doubt, they will give 100% to record their first win of the season. Both Ulrick Eneme-Ella and Abdallah Sima should miss out with injuries for the home team.
Brest, on the other hand, came from behind to share the spoils with Olympique Marseille on Matchday 2, with the team regaining a much-needed confidence. Angers and Brest seem to be evenly matched at the moment, and, taking everything into account, the share of spoils is on the horizon. Defender Noah Fadiga has yet to recover from an ankle problem, while forward Steve Mounie remains in Brest’s recovery room with a heel injury.
Highlighted Player (Angelo Fulgini):
Angelo Fulgini is a French footballer who plays for Angers in Ligue as a midfielder. Fulgini played for the likes of AS de Saint-Paul-en-Foret, FC Vidauban, SC Douai and Valenciennes during his youth career and he continued playing for the Athenians at senior level.
After scoring eight goals in 80 appearances for Valenciennes from 2015 to 2017, he moved to Angers before the start of the 2017/2018 Ligue 1 campaign and he quickly established himself as a first-team regular at Stade Raymond-Kopa. Angelo Fulgini scored his first ever goal for les Scoistes on August 6, 2017 in a 2-2 draw with Bordeaux. Despite being born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, on August 20, 1996, the Angers midfielder represents France on the international stage.
Angelo Fulgini has 3 caps for the France U21 team, while making 15 appearances for the U19 team. His main position is central midfield, but he is uses as both right-back and right midfielder as well. His preferred foot is right.
Highlighted Team (Brest):
Founded in 1950, Brest (Stade Brestois) are a French football club that compete in the Ligue 1. La Team Pirate welcome their opponents at Stade Francis-Le Ble, the venue which was opened back in 1922. The capacity of the stadium is 15,931, but on August 8, 1986 21,619 watched the game between Brest and Olympique Marseille.
The club’s home colours are red and white, with the team wearing black kit when playing on the travels. Brest’s third kit is white. La Team Pirate, who made it to the French Cup on two occasions (1982/83 and 2014/15), have rivalries with fellow clubs from Bretagne: Rennes, Lorient, Nantes, Guingamp and Vannes.
The likes of Bernard Lama Stephane Guivarch, Paul le Guen, David Ginola and Frank Ribbery are the most notable footballers who played for the club. Bayern Munchen legend Frank Ribery scored 3 goals in 35 appearances for Brest in the national championship.
