Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Expect a festive atmosphere at Stade de l’Abbe-Deschamps when Auxerre take on Nice in their first Ligue 1 game since June 2023. Christophe Pelissier’s troops are eager to secure the top flight survival and, as a result, the club chiefs have signed permanent deals with the likes of Tom Negrel (goalkeeper), Gabriel Osho (centre-back), Lasso Coulibaly (right midfielder), and Theo Bair (centre-forward) in the summer transfer window. However, Sunday’s game will be anything but a walk in the park for the home side.
Les Aiglons, on the other hand, suffered a 1-0 loss to Premier League side Ipswich Town in their last friendly game, but they are surely capable of grabbing something from their Ligue 1 opener. As Auxerre are tough to beat on home soil, we believe that punters worldwide can find value in betting on draw. Forward Terem Moffi is injured for the visiting team.
