Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Despite producing a fine performance against Olympique Marseille on Matchday 15, Brest were eventually beaten by Andre Villas-Boas’ troops at Orange Velodrome. Nemanja Radonjic’s late goal spoiled Brest’s party in Marseille, but their display is certainly giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the upcoming league fixtures. The Les Ty’ Zefs are on a four-game winless run in the Ligue 1, meaning that they are desperate to grab something from the midweek fixture against Strasbourg.
Le Racing, on the other hand, aim to make amends for a 2-1 loss to Strasbourg. Strasbourg did remarkably well to roll over Amiens 4-0 in their last away game in the French top flight, and they are surely capable of sharing the spoils with Brest at Stade Francis-Le Ble. You should bear in mind that the two teams meet for the first time ever in the French elite division.

Highlighted Player (Gautier Larsonneur):

Gautier Larsonneur is a 181-cm tall goalkeeper who plays for Brest in the Ligue 1. Born in Saint-Renan, France on February 23, 1997 the shot-stopper started his youth career at US Plougonvelin at the age of six.
In 2008 he moved to Brest youth school and he has been playing for le Team Pirate ever since. The talented goalkeeper made his debut with Brest in the Ligue 2 on August 11, 2017, keeping a clean sheet in a goalless draw with Gazelec Ajaccio.
Seeing that the Stade Francis-Le Ble outfit finished the 2018/2019 Ligue 2 campaign in second position in the standings, seven points behind Metz, Gautier Larsonneur will have a chance to prove his worth in the French top flight in the 2019/2020 season. His preferred foot is right and his contract with the club should expire on June 30, 2021.
Highlighted Team (Strasbourg):

Founded back in 1906, Strasbourg is a professional football team that compete in French Ligue 1. Le Racing did remarkably well to win the 1979 Ligue 1 trophy and that is considered the biggest success in the history of the club. Strasbourg won Coupe de France on three occasions (1951, 1966, 2001) and they have three Coupe de la Ligue trophies as well (1964, 1997, 2005). Strasbourg’s main rivals are Metz and the two teams face each other in the Derby de l’Est (The Eastern derby).
Le Racing recorded their biggest victory over Valenciennes (10-0) in the 1937-1938 season, whilst they suffered their biggest loss to Limoges (0-8) in the 1959/1960 season. Paraguayan goalkeeper Jose Luis Chilavert, who is well known for his free-kick abilities, played for the club from 2000 to 2003, but he failed to score in a league match during his spell with the Stade de la Meinau outfit. Speaking of Stade de la Meinau, Strasbourg’s home ground was opened back in 1914 and the capacity of the venue is 29,320.
