Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Buoyed by the Champions League win over Slavia Prague, Lille will be looking to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they take on Angers in the Ligue 1 round 2. Les Dogues outplayed Reims 2-0 in the season opener and, no doubt, they are brimming with confidence ahead of Saturday’s clash. Even though Bruno Genesio is expected to shuffle his pack, home win should be considered.
Summer signing Aissa Mandi is back from the Champions League ban, but midfielder Edon Zhegrova is banned for the match. Both Angel Gomes and Samuel Umtiti are sidelined with injuries for the home team. Les Scoistes, on the other hand, failed to upset Lens on Matchday 1 and seeing that Lille are a dominant force at home ground, we are tempted to bet on Bruno Genesio’s men. All Farid El Melali, Jim Allevinah, and Justin-Noel Kalumba are injured for the away team.
