Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Sunday’s football game between Lorient and Marseille will bring down the curtain on the Ligue 1 round 30. Les Merlus aim to recover from a 3-1 loss to Lille, but they face yet another difficult task against the Champions League-chasing OM. Since important midfielder Laurent Abergel serves a one-game ban, we are not tempted to put our money on the home side. Defender Igor Silva is banned for the match as well.
The visitors, on the other hand, aim to return to winning ways following a 1-1 draw with Montpellier, and we predict that they are going to take advantage of the home team’s absentees. Dimitri Payet is pushing for a start, while Leonardo Balerdi is back from suspension. As always, a man to watch in the away team will be Chile superstar Alexis Sanchez, who has netted 12 goals in the Ligue 1 so far this season.
Highlighted Player (Alexis Sanchez):
Alexis Sanchez is a Chilean football player born on 19th of December 1988. Sanchez started playing football for Cobreloa and played for Colo Colo, River Plate, Udinese and FC Barcelona before he started playing for Arsenal in 2014. The Chilean player is active for the national team as well.

Alexis Sanchez’ nickname was give by the Colo Colo fans and is El Nino Maravila which literally means The Wonder Kid. In 2014-2015 Alexis Sanchez was placed in the PFA team of the year and got nominated as Player of the year.
Highlighted Team (Lorient):
Founded back in 1926, Lorient is a French football club that competes in Ligue 1. Les Merlus have yet to win the Ligue 1 trophy, but they did well to go all the way in the Coupe de France in the 2001/02 season. In the title game, Lorient defeated Bastia thanks to Jean-Claude Darcheville’s goal.
The same season les Merlus made it to the Coupe de la Ligue final, but Bordeaux proved to be a big catch (0-3) for them in the title game. Lorient welcome their rivals at Stade du Moustoir, the stadium which can hold up to 16,392 spectators. The colour of the team’s home shirt is orange with a little black on it, while white is the dominant colour of their away jersey. In the 2002/03 season Lorient represented France in European competitions.
Les Merlus, though, failed to impress on their debut in the UEFA Cup as they were beaten by Denizlispor in the round 1 double-header.
