Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Strasbourg will look to bounce back from a 3-1 loss to Olympique Lyon when they take on Metz on Matchday 6. Le Racing are not regarded as good travelers, but they did well to beat Brest 3-1 in their last home game in the Ligue 1. All Ibrahima Sissoko, Moise Sahi Dion, and Lebo Mothiba are all out of contention with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team. Poland international Karol Fila is back from suspension.
Les Grenats, on the other hand, aim to put an end to their five-game winless run in the Ligue 1. Metz made a slow start to the season, and seeing that Strasbourg produce much better showings at home than on the travels, we do not believe that the visitors are going to grab something from Friday’s clash. All Kevin N’Doram, Farid Boulaya, Opa Nguette, and Manuel Cabit are injured for the visiting team.
Highlighted Player (Kenny Lala):
Born on the 3rd of October, 1991, Kenny Lala is a professional footballer who plays for Strasbourg. Lala started his youth career with local amateur club ES Parisienne and spent four years developing with the club before being recruited by Paris FC in 2008.
Two years later, the French left-back signed his first professional contract with PFC and made his senior debut on the 14th of September, 2010, in a league game against Strasbourg Alsace. The following season, Lala joined Valenciennes and made his Ligue 1 one debut on the 6th of November, 2011, featuring in the club's 1-1 draw with Stade Rennais.
Following successful spells at the Athenians and then at RC Lens, the 28 years old signed for Strasbourg in 2017 on a contract that that is set to expire in 2021. On the International front, Lala has never represented France at any youth level and is yet to get called-up to its senior team.
Highlighted Team (Metz):
Thanks to amalgamation of two amateur clubs Metz were founded in 1932 and soon they became a professional team. Les Grenats are one of the oldest professional teams in France, but they have yet to win the Ligue 1 trophy. Metz finished the 1997/1998 season in second place in the standings and it has to be noted that they were level on points with champions Lens (worse goal difference).
However, les Grenats won Coupe de France on two occasions (1983/1984, 1987/1988), with the team beating Monaco and Sochaux respectively in the title games. Emmanuel Adebayor is considered one of the most famous players who whore Metz jersey and you should know that the Togolese attacker scored 15 goals in 44 appearances in the league for the club.
Metz play their home games at Stade Saint-Symphorien, the venue which was opened back in September, 1923. Les Grenats wear red shirts and white shorts when playing at home, whilst the colour of their away kits is white.
