Sporting Kansas City will be aiming to overtake Seattle Sounders in top position in the Western Conference when they take on Austin at Q2 Stadium on Thursday morning. The Wizards are eager to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to Minnesota United, and seeing that Austin have nothing to play for in the regular season finale, away win should be considered. Keep in mind, though, that all Hernandez, Lindsey, and Pulido are out of contention for the visiting team.
Austin, on the other hand, suffered a 2-1 loss to Dallas in their last league match. The rock-bottom side produce much better showings at home than on the travels, but seeing that they head into the midweek clash with the lack of motivation, we are tempted to put our money on the Wizards. All Besler, Hoesen, Redes, Segura, Sweat, and Schoenfeld should miss out with injuries for the home team.

Filipe Gutierrez is a Spanish footballer who plays as a central midfielder for La Liga side Real Betis. The Chilean international is capable of playing as both attacking and left midfielder as well and he started his senior career at Universidad Catolica.
He scored 19 goals in 65 appearances for los Cruzados, but in 2012 he decided to move to Europe. Gutierrez signed a deal with Eredivisie side Twente in June 2012 for a fee of $4 million. After making 94 league appearances for Twente he joined La Liga team Real Betis on 6 July, 2016. Felipe Gutierrez won Copa America with Chile in 2015 as La Roja defeated star-studded Argentina in the title game. Speaking of his club honours, Gutierrez won the 2010 Primera division de Chile trophy with Universidad Catolica.
It has to be noted that he was named Most Valuable Player of the Eredivisie for the 2013/2014 campaign. Felipe Gutierrez earned his 27th cap for Chile in a 4-1 win over Venezuela in the World Cup qualifiers in March 2016.

Sporting Kansas City have been competing in Major League Soccer since 1996 and they won their first MLS Cup trophy in 2000. The club faced Chicago Fire at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium in Washington in the play-offs final and Miklos Jon Molnar scored the winner for Bob Gansler’s team. 13 years later Sporting Kansas City met with Solt Lake in the title game and they were fortunate to defeat the Royals on penalties.
The Wizards welcome their rivals at Children’s Mercy Park, but they used to play some games at Blue Valley Sports Complex, Julian Field, Hermann Stadium and Durwood Soccer Stadium in the past as well. Sporting Kansas City were founded in 1995 and the club’s original name was Kansas City Wiz.
