Our prediction for this MLS match:
Columbus Crewe and Vancouver Whitecaps go head to head at Lower.com Field in a highly-anticipated MLS opener. The Black & Gold have big ambitions for the new MLS campaign, but they will have to do it without injured trio Molino – Kitchen – Morris. Experienced attacker Gyasi Zardes is still part of the team, and the 30-year-old is widely expected to lead the line for the hosts.
New signing James Igbekeme is likely to make his MLS debut against Vancouver. The Whitecaps, on the other hand, did well to beat both San Diego Loyal and Los Angeles Galaxy in the last two warm-up games, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against Columbus, who are a real force to be reckoned with at home. Midfielder Caio Alexandre should be the only absentee in the away team.
