Toronto FC
Inter Miami and Toronto face each other in a highly-anticipated MLS game at DRV PNK Stadium. Inter Miami have been impressive at home ground of late, with the team eyeing their fourth consecutive home win. Despite failing to find the net in the midweek triumph, experienced attacker Gonzalo Higuain should continue to lead the line for the hosts, while all Alvarado, Jones, and Shawcross remain in the recovery room.
The Reds, on the other hand, are no longer considered one of the teams to beat in the Major League Soccer. Toronto are having a season to forget, and given Inter Miami’s fine home record, we predict that the Canadians will return home empty-handed. All Akinola, Dwyer, and Endoh are sidelined with injuries, while Spanish midfielder is widely expected to return to the starting line-up.
Highlighted Player (Gonzalo Higuain):
Widely regarded as one of the most talented strikers of his generation, Argentina’s Gonzalo Higuain started his career with River Plate. A transfer to Real Madrid for €12 million in 2007 catapulted him to the top league. His six years at Madrid was capped with three La Liga titles and 107 goals in 190 appearances.
Higuain became a crowd favorite at the Santiago Bernabeu and there was wide spread resentment among supporters over his transfer to Italian club Napoli in 2013 for a reported €40 million. Although he wasn’t able to win the Serie A, he carried the hopes of Napoli in 2015-16 and equaled 87-year-old record of 36 goals in a top-flight season.
Higuain or El Pipita as he is fondly called has also been a regular with his country having represented Argentina at two FIFA World Cups and as many Copa America tournaments. Higuain has a great eye for the goal and his goal scoring record bears a testament to this.

Toronto is a club based in Canada, but they have been competing in Major League Soccer since 2007. Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment own both the soccer club and National Hockey League’s Toronto Maple Leafs. BMO Field is the club’s home ground and the capacity of the stadium is 30.000.
The Canadian outfit impressed in the 2016 MLS Cup and they faced Seattle Sounders in the title game at BMO Field. However, the Canadians were more than unfortunate not to lift the silverware as they were beaten by the Sounders on penalties.
Speaking of the Canadian Championship, Toronto FC won their fifth domestic title in 2016, with the team beating Vancouver Whitecaps in the final of the tournament. Montreal Impact are considered the club’s biggest rivals and there have always been fireworks in meetings between the two Canadian sides. Toronto FC’s home kit is red and it is no surprise they are nicknamed the Reds. It has to be noted that the club was founded back in 2005.
