Our prediction for this MLS match:
Yankee Stadium will host Sunday’s football game between New York City and Inter Miami, the two teams who sit in the opposite halves of the table. New York City have been in a fine form of late, with the team aiming to extend their unbeaten run to five games. Since the Blue Pigeons have been scoring goals for fun at their Yankee Stadium this season, home win should definitely be considered.
The good news for the hosts is that midfielder Keaton Parks returns from suspension. Inter Miami, on the other hand, are no longer regarded as one of the teams to beat in MLS. Gonzalo Higuain and Co. defeated Nashville at home at the weekend, but given their poor away record in the 2021 MLS campaign, we do not believe that they are capable of shocking New York City in Sunday’s showdown. Higuain’s brother Federico is pushing for a start.
Highlighted Player (Alexandru Mitrita):
Italian Serie A is a Romanian footballer who is well known for his height. The 199-cm attacking midfielder, who is capable of playing as a winger as well, was born in Craiova on February 8, 1995 and he started his youth career at Turnu Severin.
In 2012 he moved to fellow Romanian club Viitorul Constanta and in 2015 he signed a deal with Italian side Pescara. After scoring 2 goals in 34 appearances for the Dolphins, he returned to Romania, signing a contract with Universitatea Craiova. Alexandru Mitrita was on New York City’s radar during the 2017/2018 season and seeing that he scored 18 goals in the national championship, the chiefs of the MLS club decided to sign him in 2019.
The Romanian footballer made his MLS soccer debut in a 2-2 draw with Orlando City, but he failed to find the net. Alexandru Mitrita’s preferred foot is right, but he often plays as a left winger.
Highlighted Team (Inter Miami):
Inter Miami is an American football (soccer) club that has been competing in the Major League Soccer since 2020. The Herons faced Los Angeles FC on their MLS debut, with the team suffering a 1-0 loss at Venue Banc of California Stadium.
Inter Miami recorded their first MLS win on August 23, 2020, with the team beating Orlando City 3-2 during the coronavirus pandemic. The Herons wear white shirts and violet shorts when playing at home, while black is the dominant colour of their away jersey. Inter Miami welcome their rivals at Inter Miami FC Stadium, the venue which can hold no more than 18,000 spectators.
The stadium was opened on July 18, 2020. Former Manchester United and England ace David Beckham shares the ownership of the club with the likes of Marcelo Claure, Jorge and Jose Mas, and Masayoshi Son. Uruguay tactician Diego Alonso is the first head coach in the history of the club.
