Our prediction for this MLS match:
Sunday’s football game at Rio Tinto Stadium pits together Real Salt Lake and Los Angeles FC, the two teams who are almost level on points in the Western Conference. Real Salt Lake head into the match following a 1-1 draw with Houston Dynamo where they failed to turn their dominance into victory. The Royals are eyeing their third home win of the season, but beating one of the best MLS teams is easier said than done.
Los Angeles, on the other hand, aim to make amends for a 2-1 loss to Sporting Kansas City. Since Bob Bradley’s men are likely to stick to their attacking style of play, we are tempted to put our money on both teams to score. It has to be noted that defender Tristan Blackmon is banned for the visiting team.
Highlighted Player (Nedum Onuoha):
Nedum Onuoha was born in Warri, Nigeria on 12 November, 1986, but he was brought up in Manchester. He attended Xaverian College Manchester and he was a very good student. He was an outstanding junior sprinter as well and it has to be noted that he won the silver medal at the English School’s Athletics Association Junior 100 metres contest.
Speaking of his football career, he began playing at Manchester City at age 18, scoring three goals in 95 league appearances for the Citizens. He spent the 2010/2011 season on loan at Sunderland and in 2012 he signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with Queens Park Rangers.
Despite the fact that he was born in Nigeria, Onuoha was eligible to play for England and you should know that he has 20 caps for England U21 team. However, he was never given a senior England debut despite being really close on several occasions. Onuoha won the Championship play-offs with Queens Park Rangers in the 2013/2014 season.
Highlighted Team (Los Angeles FC):
Seeing that Los Angeles FC will be competing in Major League Soccer from the 2018 season, the club chiefs did well to reinforce the squad. Several high-profile players joined the club in the winter of 2018, with Mexican ace Carlos Vela being the biggest name to sign a deal with LAFC.
The new expansion team will host their rivals at Banc of California, the stadium which is planned to be opened on April 29, 2018. The venue should hold up to 22,000 spectators. Los Angeles FC will be coached by Bob Bradley in the 2018 MLS campaign and they will be wearing black and gold kits in the USA professional soccer league. Speaking of their bitterest rivals, there will be fireworks when Los Angeles FC face LA Galaxy in the Major League Soccer.
District 9 Ultras and Black Army 1850 are considered the club's biggest supporters groups and it has to be noted that they used to support Chivas USA. Los Angeles FC were founded on October 30, 2014.
