Our prediction for this MLS match:
There will be fireworks when Real Salt Lake and Los Angeles FC face each other at Rio Tinto Stadium on Sunday. The Royals played out a 2-2 draw with San Jose Earthquakes in their last league match, with the team remaining in the playoffs berth. Real Salt Lake are eyeing their 8th home win of the process, but they will have a big fish to fry against Los Angeles FC. Damir Kreilach is a major doubt, while all Tate Schmitt, Bobby Wood, and Zack Farnsworth remain in the recovery room.
The visitors, on the other hand, look unstoppable in MLS at the moment, with the team eyeing their fifth consecutive league win. Given their attacking potential, we believe that gamblers from all around the globe can find value in betting on over 2.5 goals. In their last meeting in the Major League Soccer Los Angeles FC defeated Real Salt Lake 3-2. The likes of Danny Musovski, Julian Gaines, and Erik Duenas are injured for the visiting side.
Highlighted Player (Justin Meram):
Over the years Justin Meram has established himself as one of the best Iraqi footballers. The centre forward, who is capable of playing as a winger as well, was born in Shelby Charter Township, Michigan on December 4, 1988, but he represents Iraq on the international stage.
During his college career Justin Meram played for the likes of Yavapai Roughriders and Michigan Wolverines and in 2011 he joined MLS club Columbus Crew. Meram scored 37 goals in 188 appearances for the club in MLS before signing a deal with Orlando City in January, 2018.
The Iraq international made his debut for the Lions in a 1-1 draw with DC United on March 4 and he scored his first goal for the club on May 14 in a 2-1 loss to Atlanta United. As for his international career, Justin Meram made his Iraq debut in November, 2014 in a 1-0 defeat to Kuwait. The Orlando City attacker wears the number 9 shirt.
Highlighted Team (Los Angeles Galaxy):
Los Angeles Galaxy are probably the most famous American soccer club. The club have been participating in the MLS since 1996 and San Jose Earthquakes are considered their bitterest rivals. A number of top-class players were part of the team in the past, but, no doubt, David Beckham is the club’s most significant star. The former Manchester United star played for LA Galaxy from 2007 to 2012 and he scored 18 goals in 98 appearances in the league for the club.
Fellow England international Steven Gerrard is yet another Premier League ace who joined LA Galaxy. Stevie G signed a $9 million deal with the club in June, 2015. One year before he arrived to Los Angeles, the Galaxy won their fifth MLS Cup, with the team beating New England Revolution (2-1) in the final of the tournament, but winning the CONCACAF Champions League in 2000 is considered the club’s biggest success. The MLS outfit outplayed Olimpia of Honduras in the title game, with Ezra Hendrickson scoring the winning goal ten minutes before the final whistle.
Los Angeles Galaxy play their home games at StubHub Center, the stadium that was opened on June 1, 2003. The capacity of the venue is 27.000.
