Our prediction for this MLS match:
Top-of-the-table San Diego FC will look to continue their remarkable debut season in MLS when they welcome Minnesota United. The newcomers impressed before the international break with a 2-1 win over city rivals Los Angeles FC, with the team retaining top position in the Western Conference. The atmosphere at Snapdragon Stadium is expected to be electric, as the fans have been treated to attacking, fearless football throughout the campaign. San Diego do have some injury concerns, with Alvarado, Kumado, and Reyes remaining out, while Baird and Harangi are rated doubtful.
Minnesota United, meanwhile, showed little spark in a 1-1 draw with Portland last time out, and consistency has been a problem for them this season. The Loons also travel without Dotson and Randell, limiting their midfield options. Considering San Diego’s strong record at home, their pace in attack, and their hunger to cement first place, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the home side.
