Our prediction for this MLS match:
Seattle Sounders play host to New York Red Bulls at their Lumen Field on Sunday morning. Seattle aim to overtake Los Angeles FC in top position in the standings and we are positive that they will adopt an attack-minded approach against the Metros. The likes of Ethan Dobbelaere, Kelyn Rowe, Cristian Roldan, Raul Ruidiaz, and Jacob Castro are out of contention with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team. New York Red Bulls, on the other hand, aim to build on a 2-1 win over Montreal.
The Metros, though, are not regarded as good travellers, which is probably the main reason why we are going to bet on draw. The visitors will be without Frankie Amaya, Steven Sserwadda, Serge Ngoma, Kyle Duncan, and Omir Fernandez in Sunday’s clash. In their last encounter in the Major League Soccer Seattle Sounders defeated New York Red Bulls 4-2.
Highlighted Player (Albert Rusnak):
Born in Vyskov, Czech Republic on July 7, 1994, Slovakia international Albert Rusnak began his youth career in KAC Kosice. In 1997 he moved to MFK Kosice where he was talent-spotted by Manchester City scouts. However, he did not see any game action for the Citizens in the Premier League as he was immediately loaned to Oldham City.
After making only two appearances for the Latics, the Slovak moved to Birmingham City in 2014. After ending his loan spell with Cambuur, Albert Rusnak moved to FC Groningen in 2015 and it has to be noted that he scored nine goals in 61 appearances for the Dutch club in the Eredivisie.
In the winter of 2017 Rusnak joined MLS club Real Salt Lake for an undisclosed fee. Speaking of his international career, Albert Rusnak made his debut with the Slovakia national team on November 15, 2016 in a goalless draw with Austria. His father, also called Albert Rusnak, used to play football as well.
Highlighted Team (New York Red Bulls):
New York Red Bulls is the first club from New York City to join Major League Soccer. In 2006 the club was sold to Red Bull GmbH and, as a result, they are nicknamed the Red Bulls. New York welcome their rivals at Red Bull Arena and the team’s home colors are white and red.
On the other hand, the Red Bulls wear dark blue shirts and yellow shorts on the road. In 2008 New York Red Bulls made it to the MLS Cup final, but they were not capable of matching Columbus Crew (1-3) in the Home Depot Center clash. A number of top-class footballers were part of the team in the past, but former Arsenal forward Thierry Henry is the synonym of the club.
Henry scored 51 goals in 122 league games for New York Red Bulls from 2010 to 2014 and it has to be noted that he scored his first MLS hat-trick in a 5-2 victory over Montreal Impact on March 31, 2012. The likes of Youri Djorkaeff, Lothar Matthaus, Roberto Donadoni, Rafael Marquez, Juninho and Tim Cahill played for the club in the past as well.
