Vancouver Whitecaps
Lumen Field will host Wednesday’s MLS game between Seattle Sounders and Vancouver Whitecaps. Seattle aim to build on a 2-1 win over Charlotte, and they must be high on spirits ahead of the midweek clash. Both Jordan Moris and Cristian Roldan are on international duty, while Joao Paulo is out of contention with injury. The Canadian outfit, on the other hand, head into the match following back-to-back wins over Sporting Kansas City and Real Salt Lake.
Vancouver, though, are not regarded as good travelers, which is probably the main reason why home win should be considered. Important attacker Lucas Cavallini represents Canada in the CONCACAF Nations League, which is yet another reason why we are tempted to put our money on the home team. Fellow Canadian Thomas Hasal (goalkeeper) is out of contention through injury.
Highlighted Player (Jordy Delem):
Jordy Delem is a Seattle Sounders midfielder who represents Martinique on the international stage. Delem played for the likes of Club Franciscain, Arles-Avignon and Club Franciscain before joining Seattle Sounders in 2016. After making 19 appearances for Seattle Sounders 2 the Martinique footballer signed a first team deal with the MLS club in March, 2017.
It has to be noted that he played as a right back on his Seattle debut against Atlanta United (0-0). Jordy Delem represented Martinique at the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup, but he failed to impress in a 3-1 loss to Mexico. The 180-cm-tall player was born in Le Francois, Martinique and he has a contract with Seattle Sounders which expires in December, 2017.
His main position is defensive midfield, but, as previously mentioned, he is capable of playing as a full back as well. Jordy Delem has both Martinique and France passports, but he decided to represent les Matinino on the international stage.

Vancouver Whitecaps are yet another Canadian side that compete in Major League Soccer. Vancouver began play in the USA top flight in 2011 and one year later they became the first Canadian outfit to book their place in the MLS Cup play-offs. However, star-studded Los Angeles Galaxy proved to be a big catch for the Whitecaps in the knockout round. Vancouver, though, did remarkably well to win the Canadian Championship in 2015, with the team beating Montreal Impact in the title game.
In 2016 they made it to the final of the tournament as well, but Toronto FC eventually won the trophy. The Whitecaps are owned by Greg Kerfoot, Steve Luczo, Jeff Mallett and Steve Steve Nash, the former NBA star, and they play their home matches at BC Place. Speaking of MLS games, the capacity of the venue is 22.120 and you should know that the stadium was opened back in 1983. The Caps wear white shirts and white shorts when playing at home, while the colour of their away kit is blue.
