San Jose Earthquakes
Vancouver Whitecaps and San Jose Earthquakes square off against each other at BC Place on Sunday morning. Vancouver have been playing some low-scoring games of late, and they are likely to adopt yet another defence-minded approach against San Jose. All Caio Alexandre, Godoy, and Gutierrez are sidelined with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team.
San Jose, on the other hand, aim to bounce back from a 3-1 loss to Seattle Sounders. The Earthquakes aim to keep their playoffs hopes alive, but beating Vancouver on the road is easier said than done. A close encounter is on the cards at BC Place, and we believe that punters from all around the globe can find value in betting on draw. Born in Campo de la Cruz, Colombia on July 26, 1987, Fredy Montero is a pacey forward who plays for Vancouver Whitecaps in the Major League Soccer. Montero played for famous Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon from 2014 to 2016 and the Lions and during that period the Lions won Taca da Liga on two occasions and one Taca de Portugal trophy.
In 2019 he moved to Vancover Whitecaps, signing a permanent deal with the MLS club. Fredy Montero made his MLS debut in a 3-2 loss to Montreal Impact on March 3, 2019. As for his international career, the Vancouver footballer played his first match for the Colombia national team on May 9, 2007 in a 4-0 win over Panama.
The striker scored his first goal for los Cafeteros against Catalonia on December 29, 2008. Fredy Montero’s main position is second striker, but he is used as a centre-forward as well. His preferred foot is right and his contract with the Canadian outfit should expire in December, 2020.

San Jose Earthquakes are members of the Western Conference of Major League Soccer. The Quakes have been participating in the league since 1996 and they won their first MLS Cup trophy in 2001. Back then San Jose outplayed star-studded Los Angeles Galaxy in the title game, but it has to be noted that they scored the winner in the extra time.
Two years later the Quakes managed to repeat the success, with the team beating Chicago Fire in the 2003 MLS Cup final. Avaya Stadium is the home ground of San Jose Earthquakes and the capacity of the venue is 18.000. The construction of the stadium cost no less than $100 million and the venue was opened in March, 2015. The club’s home colors are blue and black, whilst the Quakes wear white and red shirts and white shorts when playing on the travels.
Chris Wondolowski is the club’s biggest star and he has been playing for San Jose Earthquakes since 2009. The USA ace has 121 league goals on his account ahead of the start of the 2017 season.
