Our prediction for this Nations League match:
Sparkles will be flying when Netherlands and Spain, the two old rivals, face each other in the Nations League quarter-finals, first leg. The Oranje are a real force to be reckoned with at home, but they face an uphill task in Thursday’s encounter. Corinthians forward Memphis Depay is back to the squad, while both Nathan Ake and Stefan de Vrij have been ruled out with injuries. As a result, Man Utd defender Mathijs de Ligt should start against Spain.
La Roja, on the other hand, continue life without Man City ace Rodri , but fellow midfielders Pedri, Fabin Ruiz, Mikel Merino, and Marc Casado all made the cut. Galatasaray striker Alvaro Morata is widely expected to lead the line for the visiting team. With Barcelona superstar Lamine Yamal being in a splendid form, we predict that Luis de la Fuente’s troops are going to emerge triumphant in the first leg.
Highlighted Player (Memphis Depay):

Memphis Depay is a Dutch winger who started his professional career at PSV Eindhoven. During the 2014/2015 Eredivisie campaign the pacey footballer was on Manchester United’s radar and on June 12, 2015 the Premier League club confirmed the signing of the Dutchman. Many people expected that he would impress in the 2015/2016 Premier League season, but the former PSV ace played below expectations for the Red Devils, scoring only two goals (one assist) during the season.
After playing only for league games for Man Utd in the 2016/2017 season, Memphis Depay was sold to Olympique Lyon on January 20, 2017. Depay signed a four-and-a-half year deal with les Gones for a fee of around £16 million. The Dutch winger was producing fine performances for Lyon in the 2016/2017 season; he scored five goals for the club, while providing eight assists for his teammates.
Memphis Depay made his senior debut for Netherlands on October 15, 2013 in a 2-0 win over Turkey. Depay did well to win the 2011 European Championship with Netherlands U17 team.
Highlighted Team (Spain):

Historically, Spain have been regarded as one of top sides on international stage, but they often struggled to live up to the billing. After reaching the semi-finals at the 1950 World Cup, La Furia Roja won the European Championship trophy on home soil in 1964, but little did they know that it would remain their only trophy for another 44 years.
Following some disappointing showings, Spain finally returned to the biggest stage under Vicente Del Bosque, winning three straight trophies between 2008 and 2012, before crashing out in the group stage at the 2014 World Cup. La Furia Roja enjoyed plenty of success with their tiki-taka style of play, originally designed by Barcelona, with Vicente Del Bosque’s side packed with technically skilled players such as Xavi Hernandez, Xabi Alonso, Andres Iniesta, Cesc Fabregas and David Silva.
Strikers Fernando Torres and David Villa also had a major role to play in those successes, but when it comes to their famous predecessors, the likes of Alfredo Di Stefano, Michel, Emilio Butrageno, Raul Gonzalez, Fernando Morientes and Fernando Hierro should not be forgotten.
