Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
There will be fireworks when Feyenoord and Excelsior face each other in the Rotterdam derby on Sunday afternoon. Feyenoord failed to defend their Eredivisie trophy, but they will represent Netherlands in the Champions League for yet another season. As Arne Slot’s troops are eager to finish the season in great manner, home win should definitely be considered. All Santiago Gimenez, Bart Nieuwkoop, Antonio Milambo, Mats Wieffer, and Quilindschy Hartman are out of contention with injuries for the home side.
Marinus Dijkhuisen’s troops, on the other hand, are desperate to avoid relegation to Eerste Divisie, but given Feyenoord’s five-game winning run in the Dutch top flight, we do not believe that the underdogs are capable of grabbing something from the local derby. Barring any fresh injury worries, Marinus Dijkhuizen is unlikely to make changes to the team that rolled over Heracles at the weekend.
