Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
Groningen will look to spoil Ajax’s party when the two teams face each other in the Eredivisie round 33 on Wednesday evening. The Green and White Army are eyeing a spot in the Conference League playoffs, but they will have a big fish to fry against the league leaders. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team, but defender Wouter Prins is expected to sneak into the starting XI after coming as a substitute in the 3-0 loss to AZ Alkmaar.
The Amsterdammers, on the other hand, aim to recover from a shocking 3-0 defeat to NEC Nijmegen. With Ajax being only one point clear of second-place PSV in the Eredivisie standings, Wednesday’s clash could be crucial in their title race. Considering that Ajax have defeated Groningen in each of their last six meetings in the Dutch top flight, there is a big value in betting on the title hopefuls. The likes of Youri Baas, Oliver Edvardsen, and Branco van den Boomen remain on the sidelines with injuries for the visiting side.
Highlighted Player (Steven Berghuis):

Born in Apeldoorn, Netherlands on December 19, 1991, Steven Berghuis is a Dutch winger who plays for Ajax in the Eredivisie. Berghuis played for the likes of Vitesse/AGOVV, WSV Apeldoorn, and Go Ahead Eagles during his youth career before joining Twente in 2009.
The 183-cm-tall footballer continued playing for the Reds at senior level. After ending his loan spell with VVV-Venlo, Steven Berghuis joined AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2012, and three years later signed a deal with the Premier League club Watford. After making no more than nine appearances in the English top flight, Berghuis moved to Feyenoord in August 2016, and he has been playing De club aan de Maas ever since.
His main position is right winger, but he is capable of producing fine displays as both left winger and attacking midfielder as well. He made his Netherlands debut on May 27, 2016 in a 1-1 draw with the Republic of Ireland.
Highlighted Team (Groningen):

Groningen is a Dutch football clubs that competes in the Eredivisie. Founded on June 16, 1971, Groningen play home games at Euroborg. The venue was built by Ballas Nedam, Royal BAM Group and VolkerWessels, and it can hold up to 22,525 people.
The Trots van het Noorden (Pride of the North) are well known for their white home shirts with red stripes, while purple is the dominant colour of their away kit. Volendam are considered the club’s fiercest rivals, but they have a rivalry with Twente as well after the 1980s incidents between their fans. Groningen have yet to win the Eredivisie trophy, but they did well to go all the way in the Dutch Cup in the 2014/15 season.
The green and whites defeated Zwolle 2-0 in the title game. Speaking of their European success, it has to be noted that Groningen participated in the Europa League on two occasions. In the 2015/16 season the Trots van het Noorden booked their place in the group stages of the competition, but they failed to record a win in the process.
