Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
PSV will be aiming to recover from a heart-breaking loss to Ajax when they take on Groningen in the Eredivisie round 28. PSV are no nine points behind the league leaders, meaning that this has to go down as a must-win game for Peter Bosz’s troops. USA midfielder Malik Tillman is pushing for a start, while his compatriot Ricardo Pepi has yet to overcome a knee injury.
The Green and White Army, on the other hand, are eager to stay in the Conference League berth, but given their negative record against PSV, away win should be considered this time out. You should bear in mind that PSV have defeated Groningen in nine of the previous ten meetings between the two sides in Eredivisie. To make things even worse for the home team, important midfielder Tika de Jonge serves a one-game ban following his sending-off in a 1-1 draw with NAC Breda.
Highlighted Player (Luuk de Jong):

The 26-year-old Dutch striker Luuk de Jong is considered one of Europe’s deadliest strikers with his incredible return of goals in games he spends playing. Luuk de Jong began his football career at De Graafschap in 2008, but moved on to Twente only a year later.
The tally of 39 goals in 76 league appearances earned him a transfer to Borussia Monchengladbach, but his spell in Germany ended in disappointment. Bundesliga club attempted to revive his career by sending him out on loan to Newcastle United but his stint with the English club yielded even more disappointment and concluded in utter disaster with De Jong playing 12 games without scoring a single goal for the Magpies.
A return to Netherlands and PSV Eindhoven turned out to be a proper hit for the 26-year-old striker who has restored his scoring touch with more than 50 goals for the Boeren after less than 90 games.
Highlighted Team (Groningen):

Groningen is a Dutch football clubs that competes in the Eredivisie. Founded on June 16, 1971, Groningen play home games at Euroborg. The venue was built by Ballas Nedam, Royal BAM Group and VolkerWessels, and it can hold up to 22,525 people.
The Trots van het Noorden (Pride of the North) are well known for their white home shirts with red stripes, while purple is the dominant colour of their away kit. Volendam are considered the club’s fiercest rivals, but they have a rivalry with Twente as well after the 1980s incidents between their fans. Groningen have yet to win the Eredivisie trophy, but they did well to go all the way in the Dutch Cup in the 2014/15 season.
The green and whites defeated Zwolle 2-0 in the title game. Speaking of their European success, it has to be noted that Groningen participated in the Europa League on two occasions. In the 2015/16 season the Trots van het Noorden booked their place in the group stages of the competition, but they failed to record a win in the process.
