Ajax
After suffering a shocking 1-0 loss to Utrecht before the international break, Ajax will be looking to return to winning ways when they take on Heerenveen at Abe Lenstra Stadion on Matchday 9. The Amsterdammers are determined to defend their Eredivisie title, and they are likely to adopt yet another attack-minded approach. A man to watch in the away team will be captain Dusan Tadic, who was rested in Serbia’s 3-1 win over Azerbaijan, while Brazil international Antony is unlikely to return to the Netherlands in time to face De Superfriezen.
Both Tagliafico and Alvarez miss out due to international duties as well. Heerenveen, on the other hand, aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Zwolle, but seeing that the title holders are desperate to get back on course, away win should be considered. Experienced attacker Henk Veerman is widely expected to lead the line for the hosts.

Erwin Mulder is an experienced Dutch footballer who plays for Heerenveen as a goalkeeper. Mulder spent his youth career at R.K.P.S.C, Vitesse Arnhem, and Feyenoord, and he continued playing for the Rotterdam club at senior level.
After making 120 appearances in the Eredivisie with Feyenoord, the 193-cm-tall shot-stopper signed for Heerenveen as a free agent in the summer of 2015. It has to be noted, though, that Erwin Mulder was loaned to Excelsior during his spell with Feyenoord. His next stop was Swansea City where he made 29 league appearances before returning to Heerenveen in 2020.
Erwin Mulder was born in Pannerden on March 3, 1989, and he has three caps with the Netherlands U20 team. He has yet to earn a call-up with the Oranje senior team. The Heerenveen goalkeeper was named in the Netherlands Euro 2012 provisional squad, but after the training with the national team, he failed to make the cut.

The likes of Johan Cruijff, Edwin van der Sar, Dennis Bergkamp, Patrick Kluivert, Rafael van der Vaart and Marco van Basten are all products of Ajax’s football academy. The Amsterdammers share a big rivalry with Feyenoord and there have always been fireworks when the two teams face each other in De Klassieker.
During the seventies Feyenoord and Ajax were the only two teams who were capable of winning the domestic trophies, while PSV have been playing an important role in Dutch football in the 21st century. PSV and Ajax are regarded as big rivals as well and the two teams square off against each other in De Topper. Ajax play their home games at Amsterdam ArenA, the stadium that was opened on 14 August, 1996. The Amsterdammers won their fourth European Cup (Champions League) trophy in 1995, beating Milan in the title game in Vienna.
