Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
Buoyed by a thrilling Super Cup win over Ajax, PSV will be aiming to give fans yet another reason for celebration when they take on Heracles at Erve Asito on Saturday evening. New Borussia Dortmund recruit Donyell Malen was not missed at all in the crushing of Ajax, with teenager Noni Madueke scoring a brace in the Johan Cruijff Arena clash. Roger Schmidt is doing a great job with PSV, and it is no wonder the vice-champions are seen as favourites to win the season opener.
Yet another man to watch in the away team will be Mario Gotze, who has been producing fine displays in all competitions at the start of the season. The Black and Whites, on the other hand, were playing some high-scoring games in pre-season. Heracles are likely to stick to their attacking style of play, but given PSV’s current form, anything but a routine away win would be a major surprise. Keep in mind, though, that the visitors will be with one eye on the Champions League playoffs.
