Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
NEC Nijmegen will be looking to put an end to their six-game winless run in the Eredivise when they face Excelsior on Saturday. The home side played out a draw in each of their last six league fixtures, but they are surely capable of matching Excelsior on home soil. Both Joris Kramer and Jordy Bruijn are sidelined with injuries, whereas all Philippe Sandler, Ilias Bronkhorst and Mathias De Wolf are rated doubtful.
Excelsior, on the other hand, will try to get back on course in the national championship after suffering back-to-back losses to Utrecht and Fortuna Sittard, and will be desperate to grab something from this game. Marinus Dijkhuizen’s troops, though, struggle on travels, which is the main reason we are going to put our money on the hosts. Sven Nieuwpoort should be the only absentee for the visiting side.
