Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
Sparkles will be flying when PSV and Ajax lock horns at Philips Stadion in the Eredivisie derby. PSV quickly bounced from an embarrassing 2-0 loss to Telstar, with the team beating NEC Nijmegen 5-3 on the road, but their performance in the Champions League loss to Royale Union SG is not fuelling fans with optimism ahead of Ajax’s visit. The good news for the hosts is that defender Armando Obispo has overcome his minor injury, while Myron Boadu is a major doubt after picking up a knock in the midweek clash.
The Amsterdammers, on the other hand, recorded a routine 3-1 win over Ajax to stay in the title race, but beating PSV in Eindhoven is easier said than done. The two teams seem to be evenly matched at the moment and we predict that they will share the spoils in the Eredivisie derby. Both Steven Berghuis and Branco van den Boomen are out of contention with injuries for the visiting side.
