Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
Twente will be looking to build on a 3-0 win over Emmen when they take on Nijmegen in the Eredivisie round 32. The Reds have been impressive at home ground this season and it is no wonder the bookies see them as favourites to win Friday’s clash. Both Anass Salah-Eddine and Max Bruns are sidelined with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team.
The visitors, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-2 loss to Heerenveen, which is yet another reason why we are going to bet on the hosts this time out. There are no fresh injury worries in the away team, but all Calvin Verdonk, Robin Roefs, and Mathias de Wolf remain doubtful. In the first half of the season Twente defeated Nijmegen thanks to Sem Steijn’s late goal and we predict that history is going to repeat itself.
Highlighted Team (Twente):
Based in the city of Enschede, Twente is a Dutch football club that welcomes their rivals at De Grolsch Veste. The venue was opened on May 10, 1998, and the capacity of the stadium is 30,205 people. The club was founded in 1965 as a merger of Sportsclub Enschede and Enschedese Boys.
The Reds did remarkably well to win the Eredivisie title in the 2009/10 season, with the team finishing the process only one point clear of Dutch giants Ajax. As a result, Twente booked their place in the Champions League group stages. The Reds did well to collect six points in their group, but that did not help them make it to the last 16.
Twente are well known for their red jerseys, but they wear dark blue shirts when playing on the travels. The Reds take on Heracles Almelo in the Twentse Derby. Sander Boshchker is leading Twente’s all-time goal-scoring chart with 653 goals on his account.
