All eyes will be on Stadion Galgenwaard when Utrecht and Feyenoord face each other in the Eredivisie round 29. Utrecht aim to build on back-to-back wins over Fortuna Sittard and Den Haag, and they are likely to go for a victory in Sunday’s clash as well. Both Mahi and Ramselaar, who were forced to leave the pitch early in the 4-1 win over Den Haag, are unlikely to feature against Feyenoord.
De Trots van Zuid, on the other hand, aim to build on a hard-fought 2-0 win over Fortuna Sittard. Feyenoord aim to move closer to top three in the Eredivisie standings, and seeing that both teams are likely to go for a win in the Stadion Galgenwaard clash, we are tempted to put our money on both teams to score. The likes of Conteh, Jorgensen, and Nieuwkoop are likely to miss the game with injuries.
Highlighted Player (Willem Janssen):
After starting his senior career at VVV-Venlo, Willem Janssen joined fellow Dutch club Roda JC in 2007. The 186-cm-tall centre-back scored 22 goals in 129 appearances for the Black and Yellows in the Eredivisie, and in 2011 he moved to Twente.
After ending his loan spell with Utrecht in 2014, he signed a permanent deal with the Stadion Galgenwaard outfit, and he has been playing for the club ever since. He scored his first league goal for Utrecht in a 1-1 draw with Zwolle on September 1, 2013. Willem Janseen was born in Nijmegen, Netherlands on July 4, 1986, but he has yet to earn a call-up for the national team. Janssen, though, has two caps with the Netherlands U21 team.
His main position is centre-back, but he is used as both defensive midfielder and central midfielder as well. His preferred foot is right. In the 2015/16 season he helped Utrecht make it to the Dutch Cup final, but Feyenoord proved to be a big catch for them in the title game.

Back in 1908 football club Wilhemina was founded in the pub De Vereeniging and they played their home games in blue-sleeved red shirts and white shorts. The club’s name was changed to Hillesluise in 1909 and soon they became RVV Celeritas.

Feyenoord won their first Eredivisie trophy in 1924 and 75 years later they clinched their 14th domestic trophy, finishing the season 15 points clear of second-placed Willem II. The club’s fiercest rivals are Ajax and the two teams face each other in der Klassieker. The likes of Craig Bellamy, Gerrard Fox, Wouter Bos and Raemon Sluiter are notable supporters of the club. It is well known that football legends Johan Cruyff, Ruud Gullit and Peter Houtman all played for Feyenoord in the past. De Trots van Zuid play their home games in red-white shirts and black shorts.
