Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
Volendam will look to make amends for a 3-0 loss to NEC Nijmegen when they host Emmen to their Kras Stadion on Matchday 24. Het Andere Oranje produce much better showings at home than on the travels, with the team winning three of their last four home fixtures, and they are surely capable of matching Emmen in front of home fans. Midfielder Brian Plat is banned for the match, while forward Bilal Ould-Chikh should recover in time to face Emmen.
Meanwhile, the visitors head into the match following back-to-back draws with Groningen and Go Ahead Eagles. Dick Lukkien’s troops are eager to put an end to their five-game winless run in the Dutch top flight, but seeing that Volendam are tough to beat at home, we do not believe that the visitors are capable of picking up more than one point from the match. All Ahmed El Messaoudi, Jeff Hardeveld, and Maikel Kieftenbeld are sidelined with injuries, while Lorenzo Burnet is a major doubt.
Highlighted Player (Anco Jansen):
Born in Zwolle, Netherlands on March 9, 1989, Anco Jansen is a pacey winger who started his senior career in his home-town club FC Zwolle.
