Mandemakers Stadion will host Sunday’s Eredivisie game between RKC and Ajax, the two teams with entirely different ambitions in the 2021/2022 season. RKC’s main goal is to secure the elite division survival, while the Amsterdammers are on a quest to defend their trophy. The hosts shared the spoils with Groningen in their last game before the international break, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry on Sunday. Defender Dario Van Den Buijs remains in the recovery room, while both Joel Pereira and David Min are rated doubtful for the match.
Ajax, on the other hand, are leading the chase for the Eredivisie trophy, but PSV are now breathing down their neck. The reigning champions failed to turn their dominance into victory in a goalless draw with G.A. Eagles, but they should take the RKC clash very seriously. Dusan Tadic, who will represent Serbia at the 2022 World Cup finals, is likely to lead Ajax to their ninth triumph of the season. Devyne Rensch serves a one-game ban, while Mohammed Kudus suffered injury in Ghana’s 1-1 draw with Ethiopia.

Konstantinos Lamprou is a Greek goalkeeper who plays for Eredivisie club RKC Waalwijk. Kostas is a product of the famous Ajax football academy, but he eventually decided to join Feyenoord football school. The 178-cm-tall shot-stopper continued playing for Feyenoord at senior level, making 14 league appearances for De Trots van Zuid.
During his spell with Feyenoord, Kostas Lamprou played for the likes of Excelsior and Willem II on loan as well. In 2017 he returned to Ajax, but made no more than three appearances in the Eredivisie with the Amsterdammers.
In the 2019/20 season he did not see any game action with Vitesse, and, as a result, he decided to join RKC Waalwijk at the end of the campaign. Born in Athens on September 18, 1991, Konstantinos Lamprou has 14 caps for the Greece U21 team. He has yet to make his debut with the senior team. His preferred foot is left and he wears the No. 31 shirt at RKC Waalwijk.

Ajax is a Dutch football club that was founded on 18 March, 1900. Ajax are well known for their youth academy, which regarded as one of the best youth football schools in the world. The likes of Johan Cruijff, Edwin van der Sar, Dennis Bergkamp, Patrick Kluivert, Rafael van der Vaart and Marco van Basten are all products of Ajax’s football academy.
