Our prediction for this Netherlands Eredivisie match:
Mandemakers Stadion will host Saturday’s Eredivisie game between RKC and Zwolle, the two bottom-table sides. RKC failed to spoil PSV’s party at Philips Stadion, with the team remaining in the danger zone. Both Oukili and van der Venne are pushing for a start, while Dario Van Den Buijs remains on the sidelines with injury. Zwolle, on the other hand, desperately needed a win against AZ Alkmaar, and they managed to get one.
Dirk Schreuder’s troops are eager to escape the danger zone, and seeing that they will go for a win as well, both teams to score betting option should be considered. Both Samir Lagsir and Sam Kersten are out for the rest of the season, with Mustafa Saymak and Dean Huiberts missing out as well. In their last meeting at the venue the two sides played out a 1-1 draw, and we predict that the history is going to repeat itself.
Highlighted Player (Vurnon Anita):
Vurnon Anita is yet another product of famous Ajax youth football academy. The defensive midfielder made a great progress during his spell with the Eredivisie outfit as he played for the first team from 2006 to 2012. During the 2011/2012 season Anita was on Newcastle United’s radar, but Ajax chiefs rejected Newcastle’s first bid for the player.
Nonetheless, the two clubs eventually came to an agreement and the Dutch footballer moved to St. James’ Park in the summer of 2012. Vurnon Anita signed for the Magpies for a fee of £6.7 million and he made his Newcastle debut on August 18, 2012 in a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the opening game of the season.
After making 133 appearances in the league for the Magpies, Anita joined Leeds United on July 6, 2017, signing a three-year deal with the Championship club. Vurnon Anita made his debut for Netherlands in a 2-1 win over Mexico in May, 2010. His main position is defensive midfield, but he can play as a full-back as well.
Highlighted Team (Zwolle):
Founded on June 12, 1910, PEC Zwolle is a Dutch football club which competes in the Eredivisie. Zwolle have yet to win the national championship, but they did remarkably well to lift the Dutch Cup trophy in 2014. Ron Jans’s troops impressed in the title game, with the team rolling over Dutch giants Ajax 5-1.
The Blauwingers play their home games at MACPARK Stadion, the venue with the capacity of 14,000 people. The multi-use stadium was opened on August 29, 2009. Zwolle’s home kit is blue and white, while the colour of their away jersey is green and white. In the 2014/15 season the Blauwingers represented the Netherlands in the Europa League, with the team losing to Sparta Prague in the play-off round.
The likes of Henk Timmer (237), Johan Hansma (231), Bert Konterman (219), Arne Slot (208), and Jasper Drost (182) are the players with the most league appearances for the club. Go Ahead Eagles are considered the club’s biggest rivals as both teams are located at the river Ijssel.
