Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Casa Pia will try to claim a major scalp when they face reigning champions Sporting CP in the opening match of the new Primeira Liga season. Casa Pia finished the last domestic campaign in 9th position in the standings and, no doubt, they would be happy with yet another top-ten finish. It has to be noted that the club chiefs managed to keep hold of Casa Pia top scorer Cassiano.
The Lions, on the other hand, continue life without Viktor Gyokeres, who joined Premier League powerhouse Arsenal and, in his absence, summer signing Luis Suarez is widely expected to lead the line for the capital club. Sporting failed to impress in the Super Cup defeat loss to Benfica, but given the number of high-profile players in Rui Borges’ team, we are tempted to bet on the title holders. You should know that Sporting CP have defeated Casa Pia in each of the previous seven meetings between the two teams.
