Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Estadio Jose Gomes will host Saturday’s football game between Estrela and Maritimo, who face each other in the Primeira Liga relegation playout, first leg. Estrela finished the regular season with a thrilling 4-2 win over Penafiel, but this match will be anything but a walk in the park for the hosts. The opposition back-line should have Ronaldo Tavares at bay.
O Maior das Ilhas, on the other hand, finished the regular season in 16th place in the standings, with the team somehow avoiding automatic relegation. Maritimo are not regarded as good travellers and that is probably the main reason why we are going to bet on Estrela. To make things even worse for the away team, both Rene and Fabio China are banned for the match following their sending-offs in a 3-1 loss to Estoril at the weekend. Boss Jose Manuel Gomes will watch the game from the stands.
