Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Following a routine 2-0 win over Sturm in the Champions League round 3, Sporting CP will look to retain top position in the Primeira Liga table when they face Famalicao on Matchday 9. The Lions want to keep their 100% record intact and they are likely to adopt yet another attack-minded approach against Os Azuis e Brancos. A man to keep an eye on in the away team will be Sweden forward Viktor Gyokeres, who sealed the victory against Sturm Graz, while all Ousmane Diomande, Eduardo Quaresma, and Marcus Edwards remain in the treatment room.
The hosts, on the other hand, have drawn each of their last four league matches, but they will have a mountain to climb against the reigning champions. As Sporting CP have emerged triumphant in each of their last five meetings with Famalicao, we are tempted to bet on the title holders. Defender Leonardo Realpe is injured for the hosts, while forward Sorriso is unlikely to be risked.
