Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
After sharing the spoils with Vitoria Guimaraes before the international break, Braga will look to return to winning ways when they take on Ferreira at Estadio da Capital do Movel on Saturday evening. The start of the season has been a mixed bag for the Reds, who have yet to find their best form. It has to be noted, though, that Braga failed to turn their dominance into victory in the goalless draw with Guimaraes (20 goal attempts).
One of the men to watch in the away team will be Fabio Martins, who rejoined the club in the summer transfer window. Ferreira, on the other hand, are eyeing their third win of the season. The hosts aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Portimonense, but, no doubt, they would be happy with one point from the match. Given Braga’s anything but brilliant start to the season, the share of spoils is on the horizon.
Highlighted Player (Bruno Santos):
Born in Rio da Janeiro, Brazil, on February 7, 1993, Bruno Santos is a professional footballer who started his senior career at Mesquita. In the 2013/2014 season, the pacey right-back moved to Sourense, and after making 14 appearances in the league for the Portuguese outfit, he joined Freamunde the following season.
After scoring two goals in 19 appearances in the Segunda Liga for Os Capoes, he signed a deal with Pacos de Ferreira in November 2015. Bruno Santos made his Primeira Liga debut on November 29, 2015, in a 2-0 win over Estoril. He scored his first goal for Pacos de Fereira on May 19, 2019, in a 2-0 win over Cova Piedade in Segunda Liga.
His primary position is right-back (full-back), and his preferred foot is right. Bruno Santos wears No. 6 shirt at Pacos de Ferreira. Bruno Santos has never played for the Brazil national team.
Highlighted Team (Braga):
Braga are a Portuguese club that have always been in the shadow of Primeira Liga giants Porto, Benfica and Sporting. Os Minhotos were founded on 19 January, 1921 and they originally played in green and white kits. After the World War II they changed their kits to red and they have been wearing red shirts and white shorts ever since.
Braga play their home games at Estadio Municipal de Braga, the stadium that was opened in December, 2003. Os Minhotos have yet to win the Primeira Liga title, but they finished the 2009/2010 campaign in second position in the standings, just five points behind champions Benfica.
In 2011 Braga participated in the Europa League final, but fellow Portuguese outfit Porto proved to be a big catch for Os Minhotos. Anyhow, that is regarded as the club’s biggest success. Vitoria de Guimaraes are considered Braga’s bitter rivals and the two teams face each other in the Minho derby.
