Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Porto will be looking to retain top position in the Primeira Liga standings when they take on Moreirense at Parque Joaquim de Almeida Freitas on Sunday evening. The Dragons played out a 2-2 draw with Sporting CP at the weekend, and, no doubt, they want to return to winning ways as soon as possible. Both Marchesin (goalkeeper) and Pepe (defender) are banned for the match, while Wilson Manafa continues to miss out with injury.
Moreirense, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 5-0 loss to Famalicao. Ricardo Sa Pinto’s men face an uphill task in Sunday’s clash, and they are unlikely to claim a major scalp on Matchday 23. Former Everton ace Kevin Mirallas is a major doubt for the hosts, and he will be assessed ahead of the kick-off. Rodrigo Conceicao is ineligible to face his parent club, while Steven Vitoria has recovered from coronavirus.
Highlighted Player (Ibrahima Camara):
Born in Conakry, Guinea, on January 25, 1999, Ibrahima Camara is a midfielder who plays for Moreirense in Portuguese Primeira Liga. Ibrahima Camara is a product of Universal Soccer Academy, but in 2016 he was spotted by Braga scouts.
After joining the Braga youth team, he started playing for the reserve team in the 2018/2019 season. The Guinea international scored three goals in 17 appearances for Braga 2 before moving to Moreirense in 2019. Ibrahima Camara made his Primeira Liga debut on February 17, 2019, in a 2-0 win over Tondela.
Speaking of his international career, Camara made his debut for the Guinea national football team in a 3-2 defeat to Chile on October 13, 2019. It has to be noted that he found the net for Guinea on his debut. Ibrahima wears the number 7 shirt at Moreirense, and his preferred foot is right. His main position is central midfield.
Highlighted Team (Porto):
Futebol Clube do Porto are one of Portugal’s biggest football clubs playing their matches in front of 50,000 people at their Estadio do Dragao. Porto form biggest rivalries with two other Big Three clubs in Portugal and regular league title contenders – Benfica and Sporting CP. Rivalries between the clubs stem from the historical, political, economical and cultural discrepancies between the cities of Porto and Lisbon. The Dragons, as they are commonly known in Portugal, are the second most successful Portuguese team with a total of 74 trophies to their name.
Porto hold a record of five consecutive league titles which are part of the total tally of 27 Primeira Liga trophies. FC Porto’s success extends to the international scene as well with seven European titles. Two-time European champions from 1987 and 2004, Porto also won two UEFA Cup/Europa League titles, the UEFA Super Cup and the International Cup on two occasions. Together with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United, Porto have the most appearances in the UEFA Champions League group stage – the total of 20.
