Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Portimonense and Moreirense go head to head at Estadio Municipal de Portimao in what is expected to be an exciting Primeira Liga clash. Portimonense aim to escape the danger zone, while Moreirense are eager to revive their Conference League hopes. Paulo Sergio’s troops are on a four-game winless run in the elite division, but it seems as if they will not have a better chance than this to return to winning ways.
Brazil international Lucas should be the only absentee in the home team. Moreirense will be without Amador, Lacerda, Mane, and Pedro in Monday’s clash, and seeing that they failed to find the net in three of their last four away games, we believe that there is a big value in betting on Portimonense. You should bear in mind that Portimonense are eyeing their first win over Moreirense since March, 2018.
Highlighted Player (Lucas Possignolo ):
Lucas Possignolo is a Brazilian footballer who started his youth career at Sao Paulo, but he did not make his senior debut with the Tricolor. Possignolo moved to Portimonense on loan in 2014, and after scoring four goals in 57 appearances in the league, he signed a permanent deal with the Primeira Liga club in 2017.
The Brazilian defender made his debut in the Portuguese top flight on August 17, 2017, in a 2-1 home win over Boavista. Possignolo scored his first goal in the Primeira Liga in a 5-1 home defeat to Porto on February 25, 2018. His primary position at Portimonense is a centre-back, and his preferred foot is right.
Lucas Possignolo was born in Piracicaba, Brazil, on May 11, 1994. The 185-cm-tall defender, who wears the number 3 jersey at Portimonense, joined Sao Paulo at the age of 17.
Highlighted Team (Moreirense):
Moreirense are a Portuguese football club based in Moreira de Conegos. Founded on November 1, 1938, Os verdes e brancos welcome their rivals at Parque Moreira de Conegos Guimaraes, the venue which can hold up to 9,000 spectators.
Moreirense wear green and white shirts and white shorts when playing at home, whilst black and red are the dominant colours of their away kit. In the 2016/2017 season Os verdes e brancos did well to win the Taca da Liga trophy, with the team beating Braga 1-0 in the title game.
Caue scored the winner for Moreirense on the stroke of half time. Moreirense impressed in the 2018/2019 Primeira Liga season, finishing the process in sixth position in the standings. The club missed out on a place in the Europa League on goal difference to Vitoria de Guimaraes. Penafiel are considered one of the club’s main rivals.
