Estadio do Rio Ave will host Sunday’s Primeira Liga game between Rio Ave and Vitoria Guimaraes. Luis Freire’s troops have been having their ups and downs of late, with the team losing to Boavista, beating Arouca, while sharing the spoils with Maritimo. Renato Pantalon returns from suspension, while Joca has yet to overcome a knee injury. Colombia forward Leonardo Ruiz is widely expected to lead the line for the hosts.

The Brazilian footballer made his debut in the Portuguese elite division on August 8, 2019, in a 2-0 win over Santa Clara. He scored his first goal for the Azuis e Brancos in a 1-0 win over Rio Ave on August 16, 2019, finding the net in the 66th minute of the match.
Patrick William’s preferred foot is right, and his primary position is a centre-back. The player who wears the number 97 shirt at Famalicao, has a contract with the club until June 2024. The Famalicao defender has yet to make his debut with the Brazil national team.

Os Vimaranenses did well to win Taca de Portugal in the 2012/2013 season, wi the team beating Benfica in the final of the domestic cup.
Vitoria Guimaraes finished the 2016/2017 Primeira Liga campaign in fourth place in the standings and, as a result, they booked their place in the Europa League qualifiers. The Portuguese side will face the likes of Salzburg, Konyaspor and Olympic Marseille in Group I and they are seen as underdogs in their group. Vitoria Guimaraes welcome their rivals at Estadio D. Alfonso Henriques and the venue can hold up to 30.000 spectators.
Os Vimaranenses play their home games in white shirts and white shorts, whilst they wear black when playing on the road. Their neighbours Braga are considered Guimaraes’ fiercest rivals and the two teams face each other in the derby of Minho Province.
