Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Rio Ave and Santa Clara go head to head at Estadio do Rio Ave in what is expected to be a very entertaining game. Rio Ave have been playing below expectations in the 2020/21 Primeira Liga season, but they showed character in their last league match. Mario Silva’s troops came from behind to share the spoils with league leaders Sporting CP at the weekend, with the team regaining a much-needed confidence.
Rio Ave rolled over Portimonense 3-0 in their last home game in the national championship, which is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the visit of Santa Clara. Daniel Ramos’ men are on a five-game winless run in the Portuguese top flight, and seeing that Rio Ave have been showing signs of improvement of late, home win should be considered. Junio and Augusto remain on the sidelines for the hosts, while Daniel Ramos should have a full squad to choose from.
