Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Estadio de Sao Miguel will host Sunday’s football game between Santa Clara and Nacional. The hosts aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Gil Vicente and they must be high on confidence ahead of Nacional’s visit. With no fresh injury worries to report, Santa Clara boss Vasco Matos is unlikely to make changes to the team that defeated Os Galos.
Martin Lasarte’s men, on the other hand, continue with their old habit of producing fine performances at home, while struggling on the travels. Given Nacional’s dreadful away record (1-3-9), we predict that the hosts are going to emerge triumphant in Sunday’s showdown. The good news for the visiting team is that defender Ze Vitor is back from suspension, while fit-again forward Joel is pushing for a start after scoring as a substitute in a 3-1 victory over Casa Pia before the international break.
Highlighted Team (Nacional):

Nacional is a Portuguese football club based in Funchal, on the island of Madeira. Nacional compete in Primeira Liga, with the team hosting their rivals at Estadio de Madeira. The stadium was opened in the winter of 1998, and it can hold no more than 5,132 spectators.

The 2003/04 campaign is considered the most successful season in the history of Nacional as they finished the process in the 4th position in the standings. As a result, they booked their place in the UEFA Cup. In the 2009/10 season Nacional participated in the Europa League group stages, facing the like of Athletic Club, Austria Wien, and Werder Bremen in Group L.
