Our prediction for this Portugal Primeira Liga match:
Sporting CP will be aiming to retain top position in the standings when they take on Nacional on Matchday 19. The Lions are determined to defend their trophy, but both Benfica and Porto are still breathing down their neck. Viktor Gyokeres should be recalled to the starting XI after scoring as a substitute in the Champions League loss to Leipzig, while all Edwards, Goncalves, Quaresma, and Santos remain in the recovery room. Fit-again midfielder Daniel Braganca is pushing for a start as well.
Martin Lasarte’s troops, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Porto and AVS. Nacional recorded these victories at home, but given their difficulties on the road, we predict that Sporting are going to emerge triumphant in Saturday’s clash. Speaking of the away team, Senegal midfielder Djibril Soumare misses out through suspension, while both Baeza and Thomas remain in the treatment room.
