Sporting CP will be aiming to cement top position in the Primeira Liga standings when they take on Portimonense at their Estadio Jose Alvalade. The Lions are enjoying a season to remember, but they can’t afford any complacency in the remainder of the campaign as Porto and Benfica should not be written off just yet. Anyhow, home win should be considered as boss Ruben Amorim can count on key players for Saturday’s clash.
Portimonense, on the other hand, did well to crush Gil Vicente 4-1 at the weekend, with the team putting an end to their four-game winless run in the Portuguese top flight. Since Sporting CP have been impressive on home soil in the 2020/21 season, we do not believe that the visitors are capable of grabbing something from the match. Both Lucas and Sa are likely to miss the game with injuries.
