Our prediction for this Premier League match:
Aston Villa will be looking to make amends for a 2-0 loss to Nottingham Forest when they host Fulham to their Villa Park on Matchday 12. The Villans aim to keep their 100% record at home intact, but Unai Emery’s troops will have to showcase their worth on the field. Pacey winger Leon Bailey is widely expected to return to the starting XI as well as defender Diego Carlos, whereas both Kortney Hause and Jacob Ramsey are out of contention with injuries.
The Cottagers, on the other hand, suffered a dip in form, with the team losing to both Tottenham and Manchester United, while sharing the spoils with Brighton and given Aston Villa’s perfect home record, we predict that the visitors are going to return to London with their hands empty. Defender Issa Diop remains in the recovery room, while all Kenny Tete, Adama Traore, and Tosin Adarabioyo should recover in time to face the Villans.
Highlighted Player (Diego Carlos):
Diego Carlos Santos Silva is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Nantes as a defender. His main position is centre-back and his preferred foot is right. Diego Carlos began his youth career at America-SP and in 2010 he moved to Desportivo Brasil. After spending the 2012/2013 season on loan at Sao Paulo, the 185-cm-tall defender returned to Desportivo Brasil.
However, he made his first-team debut with Madureira during his spell with the club (2014). In 2014 Diego Carlos signed a contract with Portuguese club Estoril Praia and he scored two goals in 39 appearances for the Primeira Liga club. It has to be noted, though, that he played for Porto B (on loan) in the 2014/2015 season.
Diego Carlos moved to French club Nantes in the summer of 2016 and you should bear in mind that he quickly established himself as a first-team regular with les Canaris. The Brazilian footballer scored two goals in 34 appearances for Nantes in the 2016/2017 Ligue 1 campaign. His contract with the Ligue 1 side expires on June 20, 2021.
Highlighted Team (Fulham):
Fulham are a club from London that play in the Premier League. The capital club dropped to the English second tier at the end of the 2013/2014 Premier League campaign after failing to impress in the elite competition, but managed to return in season 2018/2019.
Fulham were founded in 1879 and they play their home matches at Craven Cottage. Fulham are the oldest-established club from the English capital to have played in the top flight.
Fulham finished the 2008/2009 Premier League campaign in seventh place in the standings and that is considered the team’s biggest success, speaking of their participation in the Premier League.
The Cottagers played in the Europa League twice and they did well to reach the FA Cup final in 1975, but they were beaten by their local rivals West Ham United in the title game (0-2). Chelsea are regarded as Fulham’s bitter rivals as well and the two teams take on each other in the North London derby.
