Our prediction for this Premier League match:
Vitality Stadium will host Sunday’s Premier League game between Bournemouth and Aston Villa, the two teams with entirely different ambitions for the remainder of the season. The Cherries are eager to secure yet another top flight survival and they must be high on confidence following back-to-back wins over Newcastle and Sheffield United. All Max Aarons, Alex Scott, Tyler Adams, Emiliano Marcondes, and Ryan Fredericks are sidelined with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the home team.
The Villans, on the other hand, are eyeing a spot in the Champions League and their performance in a 2-1 win over Tottenham is surely fuelling fans with optimism ahead of the trip to Dorset. Aston Villa have been producing excellent displays under Unai Emery and we predict that they will give fans yet another reason to celebrate this weekend. All Mings, Kamara, Traore, and Buendia are injured for the visiting team.
Highlighted Player (Diego Carlos):
Diego Carlos Santos Silva is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Nantes as a defender. His main position is centre-back and his preferred foot is right. Diego Carlos began his youth career at America-SP and in 2010 he moved to Desportivo Brasil. After spending the 2012/2013 season on loan at Sao Paulo, the 185-cm-tall defender returned to Desportivo Brasil.
However, he made his first-team debut with Madureira during his spell with the club (2014). In 2014 Diego Carlos signed a contract with Portuguese club Estoril Praia and he scored two goals in 39 appearances for the Primeira Liga club. It has to be noted, though, that he played for Porto B (on loan) in the 2014/2015 season.
Diego Carlos moved to French club Nantes in the summer of 2016 and you should bear in mind that he quickly established himself as a first-team regular with les Canaris. The Brazilian footballer scored two goals in 34 appearances for Nantes in the 2016/2017 Ligue 1 campaign. His contract with the Ligue 1 side expires on June 20, 2021.
Highlighted Team (Bournemouth):
Bournemouth are a professional football club that was formed back in 1890. The Cherries secured promotion to the Premier League in the 2015/2016 season, with the team making it to the English top flight for the first time ever.
Bournemouth play their home games at Dean Court and the capacity of the stadium is 11,469.
The Cherries enjoyed a very successful season on their Premier League debut, with the team beating the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United in the national championship. Glenn Murray scored the winner for Bournemouth in the 1-0 win over the capital club at Stamford Bridge and that is probably the greatest victory in the club’s history.
Bournemouth have been participating in the FA Cup since 1913, but they have yet to win the trophy in the prestigious competition. It has to be noted that the club’s original name Boscombe Athletic Football Club was changed to Bournemouth back in 1923 as the club owners wanted the Cherries to be more representative of the district.
