Nottingham Forest
Brentford play host to Nottingham Forest at their Brentford Community Stadium on day 34 of the 2022/2023 Premier League campaign. The Bees aim to build on a 2-0 win over Chelsea and they are seen as hot favourites to beat the Reds in front of home fans. Bryan Mbeumo is pushing for a start after sealing the victory at Stamford Bridge, whereas all Strakosha, Jansson, Ajer, Norgaard, and Lewis-Potter remain in the recovery room.
The visitors, on the other hand, did well to beat Brighton in midweek, with the team escaping the relegation zone. Forest, though, have been struggling on the travels this term and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Brentford’s party in London. Since there are no fresh injury worries in the visiting side ahead of the trip to the English capital, Steven Cooper is unlikely to make changes to the team that faced the Reds.

Three years later the talented centre-back was given his first-team debut, off the back of a highly successful season which saw his pick up a prestigious Academy Player of the Year award.
During his five-year stay with Malmo Jansson went on to play 98 league matches, score 6 goals and impose himself as a commanding presence for his club. A ball-playing central defender who likes to keep things clean and simple, Jansson boasts impressive composure and never backs under pressure. The Swedish defender was plucked by the Serie A side Torino in 2014 where he failed to make his big international break.
Three years into his stay in Italy – and a season-long loan at Leeds United after – Pontus Jansson moved to Elland Road on permanent basis. His work-rate, great positioning and impressive physicall ability made him one of the hottest properties in the summer of 2018 with Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and other Premier League sides expressing interest in high services, but Jansson opted to remain at Leeds and work under Marcelo Bielsa.

Nottingham Forest, the club that are often referred to as Forest, were formed in 1865. They have been playing their home games at the City Ground since 1898 and the capacity of the stadium is 30,445. Nottingham Forest are regarded as one of the greatest English clubs as they won the European Cup on two occasions. In 1979 Forest outplayed Malmo (1-0) at the Olympiastadion in Munich in the final of the elite competition, with the team beating Hamburg in 1980 in the title game at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu (1-0).
Nottingham Forest won the national championship in the 1977/1978 season, with the team finishing the campaign seven points clear of second-placed Liverpool. To make things even better for the fans, the City Ground outfit clinched the FA Cup trophies in 1898 and 1959. Derby County are regarded as Forest’s bitterest rivals and the two local rivals contest in the East Midlands derby. In their first ever meeting in the local derby Forest recorded a 3-2 win over Derby County.
