Our prediction for this Premier League match:
There will be fireworks when Chelsea and Manchester United face each other at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League round 13. The Blues faced no difficulties in a 3-0 win over Leicester City, with the team retaining top position in the standings, but they need to keep on making progress if they are to regain the domestic trophy. Mateo Kovacic remains in the recovery room, while Romelu Lukaku faces race against clock to be fit for Sunday’s derby.
The Red Devils, on the other hand, failed to impress in a 4-1 loss to Watford, with head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer paying the price for the defeat. Man Utd are eager to give fans some cheer on Michael Carrick’s debut as the Red Devils manager, but given Chelsea’s splendid form, anything but a routine home win would be a major surprise. Harry Maguire is banned for the match, while both Raphael Varane Paul Pogba miss out with injuries. Mason Greenwood, though, should be fit for the match.
Highlighted Player (Timo Werner):
Timo Werner is a German starlet, who began his senior career at Vfb Stuttgart. The German forward, who was born in Stuttgart on March 6, 1996, scored 13 goals in 95 appearances in the league for Die Schwaben and in 2016 he moved to fellow Bundesliga side Leipzig and he impressed with the Red Bulls in the 2016/2017 Bundesliga campaign, scoring 21 goals in the process.
To make things even better for the talented attacker, he represented Germany at the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup and it has to be noted that he provided an assist for Lars Stindl in the title game. Despite the fact that coach Joachim Low rested star players at the tournament in Russia, the Germans eventually won the trophy.
Timo Werner played for the Germany U17 team as well and he won the silver medal with die Mannschaft at the 2012 UEFA European Championship. His main position is centre forward, but he is used as a winger as well. Timo Werner’s contract with Leipzig should expire on June 30, 2020.
Highlighted Team (Manchester United):
Over the years Manchester United have established themselves as one of the greatest clubs in world football. The Red Devils have won three European Cup (Champions League) trophies and they have clinched no less than 20 Premier League titles.
A number of top-class players were part of Manchester United in the past, but, no doubt, the club’s biggest legend is coach Sir Alex Ferguson, who was in charge of the team for 26 years. During Alex Ferguson’s spell at Old Trafford the club won a number of trophies, but the Red Devils have been struggling in all competitions ever since he retired. Louis van Gaal helped Manchester United win the FA Cup trophy in the 2015/2016 season, with Jese Lingard scoring the winner in the 2-1 triumph over Crystal Palace at Wembley Stadium.
The likes of Bobby Charlton, Paul Scholes, Roy Keane, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, George Best and Eric Cantona are the football stars that graced Old Trafford for Manchester United.
