Sunday’s football game at Portman Road pits together Ipswich Town and Chelsea, the two teams with entirely different ambitions for the remainder of the season. The Tractor Boys are desperate to secure the Premier League survival, while the Blues are still in the title race. The hosts are likely to adopt a defence-minded approach in the last game of the year, but preventing Cole Palmer and Co. from finding the net is easier said than done. The likes of Donacien, Hirst, Ogbene, and Tuanzebe remain in the treatment room, while Egypt midfielder Samy Morsy is back from suspension.
The capital club, on the other hand, aim to recover from a heart-breaking loss to their local rivals Fulham. As Chelsea will not have a better chance than this to get back on course in the Premier League, away win should be considered. Noni Madueke is pushing for a start after the winger was surprisingly omitted on Boxing Day, while there are no fresh injury worries in the away team.
