Our prediction for this FA Cup Premier League match:
Liverpool and Manchester City will be vying for the first trophy of the season when they face each other at Wembley Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The Citizens did well to win the double last term, but they do not want to stop now. Pep Guardiola’s troops are likely to stick to their attacking style of play and despite the fact that the Catalan tactician can’t count on attacking duo Gabriel Jesus – Kun Aguero for the Community Shield clash, we believe that the Premier League winners are going to find the net in Sunday’s showdown.
Liverpool, on the other hand, will be without Sadio Mane, but Mohamed Salah returned to the squad and he is likely to play for the Reds in the Wembley Stadium game. A lively contest is on the cards and we predict that there is a big value in betting on both teams to score.
Highlighted Player (Fabinho):
One of the hottest talents and emerging star of the new generation at AS Monaco is the Brazilian international Fabinho. The 22-year-old right-back began his career at Rio Ave, but was quickly noticed by Real Madrid, who brought him on loan in 2012 where Fabinho failed to make an impression and break into the first team at Santiago Bernabeu.
A loan move to Monaco proved to be a perfect choice for the player who signed a permanent deal with the Principality in 2015 after making an immediate impact with his new club. Fabinho went on to score 15 goals in more than 130 appearances for Monaco, and has made his full Brazil debut with the club. His compelling performances in Ligue 1 have earned much praise and draw plenty of attention from Europe’s biggest clubs.
During the summer of 2016 Premier League powerhouse Manchester United were linked with the talented defender, but Monaco showed great resolve in keeping their prized asset by tying Fabinho to an extended stay with the Principality club.
Highlighted Team (Man City):
Manchester City are the lest famous of the two major clubs based in Manchester. The club was founded in 1880, but they have been struggling in the English Premier League in the past. Nonetheless, ever since the club was purchased by Abu Dhabi United Group in 2008, the Citizens have been playing an important role in the English top flight.
Manchester City won two Premier League trophies under Roberto Mancini and Manuel Pellegrini (2011/2012 and 2013/2014), but both managers eventually paid the price for some disappointing results. Man City play their home games at the Etihad Stadium and the stadium capacity is 55,097.
Manchester United are regarded as Manchester City’s biggest rivals and the likes of Kun Aguero, Carlos Tevez, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Uwe Rosler, Yaya Toure, Sylvain Distin are some of the most remarkable players that played for the Etihad Stadium outfit. Manchester City have won four Premier League titles and five FA Cup trophies and it has to be noted that they made it to the Champions League semis in the 2015/2016 season.
