Our prediction for this Premier League match:
After surviving Luton in their last league match, Manchester City will look to melt Liverpool’s advantage in the standings when they take on Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon. The Citizens produce much better displays with Rodri in the starting XI and, as a result, they are seen as hot favourites to beat the Eagles in front of home fans. Even though Palace do not suit Pep Guardiola’s troops, home win should be considered as Man City have always been raising their form during the festive fixtures and seeing that key attacker Erling Haaland should recover in time to face the capital club, home win should be considered.
The Eagles, on the other hand, failed to impress in back-to-back losses to Bournemouth and Liverpool, which is yet another reason why we are going to bet on the title holders. To make things even worse for the visiting side, Ghana forward Jordan Ayew is banned for the match.
Highlighted Player (Eberechi Eze):
Eberechi Eze is a talented football player who was born in Greenwich, England on June 29, 1998. Eze started his youth career at Millwall and in the summer of 2016 he moved to Queens Park Rangers, signing a one-year contract with the capital club.
Eze scored 4 goals in 42 appearances for the Hoops in the 2018/2019 Championship campaign, while providing 4 assists for his teammates. His main position is attacking midfield, but he is capable of playing as both right and left midfielder as well. Eze is a footballer of Nigerian descent, but he has yet to make his debut for the Super Eagles in international matches.
Given his place of birth, the 173-cm tall midfielder was eligible to play for the England U20 team and he made his debut for the Three Lions on October 11, 2018 in a 2-1 victory over Italy. His preferred foot is right.
Highlighted Team (Man City):
Manchester City are the lest famous of the two major clubs based in Manchester. The club was founded in 1880, but they have been struggling in the English Premier League in the past. Nonetheless, ever since the club was purchased by Abu Dhabi United Group in 2008, the Citizens have been playing an important role in the English top flight.
Manchester City won two Premier League trophies under Roberto Mancini and Manuel Pellegrini (2011/2012 and 2013/2014), but both managers eventually paid the price for some disappointing results. Man City play their home games at the Etihad Stadium and the stadium capacity is 55,097.
Manchester United are regarded as Manchester City’s biggest rivals and the likes of Kun Aguero, Carlos Tevez, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Uwe Rosler, Yaya Toure, Sylvain Distin are some of the most remarkable players that played for the Etihad Stadium outfit. Manchester City have won four Premier League titles and five FA Cup trophies and it has to be noted that they made it to the Champions League semis in the 2015/2016 season.
