Aston Villa
St. Mary’s Stadium will host Friday’s Premier League game between Southampton and Aston Villa. The Saints aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Watford, and they are surely capable of beating the Villans, who suffered a dip in form. Broja and Stephens are the only absentees in the home team, which is yet another reason why home win should be considered.
The opposition defenders should have Che Adams at bay as he scored the winner at the weekend. The Villans, on the other hand, aim to put an end to their four-game losing run, but given their shaky defence, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the hosts. Trezeguet remains on the sidelines through injury, while Konsa is banned for the match after he was sent off in a 4-1 loss to West Ham United.

Theo James Walcott is an English football player with roots from Jamaica born on 16th of March 1989 in London. Walcott started his football career for AFC Newbury and after scoring over 100 goals in his first season Southampton signed the young Walcott. After 2 seasons playing for the Saints scoring 4 goals in 21games Arsenal transferred Walcott to London for approximately 12 million GBP where he signed a 1 million GBP per year contract by the age of 17.
Walcott is known for being a very fast right-winger but is able to play as a striker as well. Walcott can be used very effectively to set up a counter attack but is the type of offensive player that is very dependant on the rest of the team.
Despite his young age Walcott made his debut for the English national team in May 2006 and played for over 40 games in the national team already. One of Walcott’s biggest weaknesses are his height (only 173cm) and the fact he get’s injured very quickly. Walcott won the FA Cup in 2013/2014 and 2014/15 with Arsenal and the Community Shield in 2015. During the World Cup in 2014 Walcott was injured.

Aston Villa is one of the three clubs that dropped to the Championship at the end of the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign. The Villans host their rivals at Villa Park, the stadium that was opened in 1897 and its’ capacity is 42,682. However, it has to be noted that the highest attendance recorded at the stadium was 76,588 when Aston Villa faced Derby County in the FA Cup back in 1946.
Aston Villa’s fiercest rivals are Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion. Nonetheless, the rivalry between Aston Villa and Wolves and Coventry City is big as well. Aston Villa have won seven First Division (Premier League) trophies, with the team clinching seven FA Cup trophies as well.
The team’s biggest success, though, came in 1982 when they won the European Cup. The Villans defeated Bayern Munich (1-0) in the title game and Peter Withe was named the man of the match.
